Fort Stewart
We are very proud to be in the same community with the United States Army Base, Fort Stewart, home of the 3rd Infantry Division. They are the heart of Hinesville and Liberty County. Our congregation is on Highway 84 West, just a few miles from General Screven Way, where the main gate is accessed.
Almost all of our members have worked or served at Fort Stewart. We are very proud of their service to our nation! We also welcome the spouses of soldiers in our area. We will provide a spiritual family while you are away from home. Please come and be a part of our congregation.
Fort Stewart and Hunter Army Airfield are the home of the 3rd Infantry Division, and combine to be the Army’s Premier Power Projection Platform on the Atlantic Coast. It is the largest, most effective and efficient armor training base east of the Mississippi, covering 280,000 acres including parts of Liberty, Long, Tattnall, Evans and Bryan counties in southeast Georgia.
Fort Stewart is ideally situated and resourced to support the training and deployability requirements of the 3d Infantry Division (Mechanized). The reservation’s 280,000 acres provide the division’s soldiers unequaled training opportunities. Stretching over five counties, Fort Stewart is the largest installation east of the Mississippi River. The reservation can accommodate training for 50,000 reserve component soldiers annually.
